JEROMESVILLE, Ohio (12/15/23)--We're thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our grades 5-8 students who have reached incredible milestones for November 2023 on their journey to reading one million words in the Million Words Club.
**What's the Million Words Club?**
Join us in our district-wide initiative to recognize the impact of reading and celebrate the joy of lifelong reading! We've created the Million Words Club to highlight the magic that happens when we dive into the world of books. It's not just about hitting milestones; it's about becoming lifelong readers and setting an example for others.
**Milestones and Rewards:**
- First Book Entry: A small, sweet reward awaits you!
- 100,000 Words: Earn a bookmark
- 300,000 Words: Grab a
- 600,000 Words: Enjoy a
- 1,000,000 Words: Students earn a stylish Million Words Club t-shirt, and adults can snag one, too!
**Who Can Participate?**
Everyone! This initiative is open to:
- students
- teachers
- parents
- community members
- and even our awesome alumni
We believe that everyone can be a role model in reading, so let's join hands and showcase what lifelong reading truly looks like.
**What Counts?**
Anything you want to read! Choose your favorite books, whether they're graphic novels, easy reads, or even audiobooks. If you read it and record it on the student reading website (studentreading.net), it counts!
**How to Join and Log Your Books:**
1. Students: Log in with your Google account or student reading account.
2. Adults: Create a "non-student" account on studentreading.net.
3. Log your finished books and let the website keep track of your total words for the year. 4. New to the club? Click on "New User" and create an account. You can even login with your Google account!
