Building Character, Expecting Excellence

Dear Hillsdale 9-12 Students and Parents:

Hillsdale 7-12 School has established a diverse and comprehensive offering of courses and many excellent co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities.  Our offering is designed to ensure that all students graduate from Hillsdale career and/or college ready. Attending high school requires students and families to work closely with professional educators to make important choices that will benefit each and every young person in preparation for the day he/she graduates from Hillsdale 7-12 School.

The goal for every Hillsdale graduate is to achieve one of the following goals on or before graduation day:

  1. Accepted and enrolled in the college/university of the student’s choice

  2. Enlisted in a chosen branch of the United States Military

  3. Successfully completed a Career Center Program, meeting the Industry Standards or classroom instructional program requirements to be ready to be gainfully employed and/or enrolled in an apprenticeship program in a career of the student’s choice

Please discuss with your son/daughter what is in the best interest for them and invest as much time as necessary to work in partnership with school staff to ensure that today’s choices result in a lifetime of “Building Character and Expecting Excellence!"

Sincerely,

Mr. Alan Keesee
9-12 Principal

Building Character, Expecting Excellence

Welcome to Hillsdale 7th and 8th grades. The faculty and staff are proud of our reputation of having a safe, warm and caring environment.

We are dedicated to preparing our students for their next phase of life. We strive to prepare the whole child, engaging them in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities. We welcome the partnerships with parents, students, and community members as we train our students to be active participants in their 21st century educational experience.

Our staff has spent time training in the Olweus Anti-Bullying Prevention Program and A.L.I.C.E. training.  We are beginning to implement Marzano’s High Yield Strategies for learners.  We use innovative teaching strategies such as team teaching and the Socratic method.

Our students have the opportunity to work with Smart Boards and computers every day.  They are introduced to the worlds of robotics and agriculture in our STEM classes, and learn about their creative sides in our drama club’s student-directed plays and the music departments concerts.

At Hillsdale Schools, we are BUILDING CHARACTER, EXPECTING EXCELLENCE!

Go Falcons!

Sincerely,

Mr. Keib
