    Hillsdale High School - Welcome Back to School 2015-2016

     All students in Grades 9 through 12 first day of school will be on Wednesday, August 19.

    Ninth Grade Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 12 beginning at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium.

     You may call the school on Thursday, August 6 to get the total cost of your student fees.  We prefer a check for your fees payable to “Hillsdale High School”.  Band fees should be given to the band director during band camp with checks payable to “Hillsdale High School“.

     On Monday, August 10, schedules will be available from 7:30 until 5:00 p.m. Student schedules may be picked up Tuesday, August 11 through Thursday, August 13 from 7:30-3 p.m. Schedules must be picked up during this time with fee payment required.

     Hillsdale High School Open House will be on Tuesday, August 18 from 6-6:30 p.m.

    First Day!

    The first day for students in the 2015-2016 school year will be August 19th!  Have a great summer of reading and learning and we'll see you then!  All students in Grades 1-12 will report on Wednesday, August 19. 

    Note:  Kindergarten students will have a different opening day - refer to the Elementary site for more details on Kindergarten students first day!

    Open Houses!

    Hillsdale High School will have their Open House on Tuesday, August 18th from 6:00-6:30 pm.  Please check here on the High School page for more details regarding supplies, fees, schedules, and information on Freshman Orientation which is August 12th beginning at 6:00 pm in the High School Auditorium.

    Strategic Planning - Please Join Us - August 10th

    A big THANK YOU to the voters who turned out to support our Hillsdale Falcons by renewing the 20.1 mill combined levy! To our community, we say thanks and invite you to take part in the Strategic Planning Committee meeting at Hillsdale High School library on Monday August 10th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.  This committee is made up of concerned community members and all are welcome.  Please Join Us!  We are currently working on a FIVE YEAR PLAN to help the Board in shaping the future of our district - there are committees in Curriculum (including special education and gifted services), Technology and Facilities, Finance and Communication, and Guidance/Career Planning. We now have our own link under the COMMUNITY TAB - check us out!     House Bill 64 Testimony - Governor Kasich's Budget Plan

    On March 18, 2015, Mrs. Abbey Hoffman, Hillsdale Board of Education Legislative Liaison and Student Achievement Liaison testified to the House Finance Primary and Secondary Education Subcommittee concerning House Bill 64 (the Governors new budget plan) and the impact it has on the Hillsdale Local School District.   Read Mrs. Hoffman's testimony here!  Questions and concerns can be directed to the Board of Education or Steve Dickerson, Superintendent at 419-368-8501.

    Performance Audit January 2015

    Please read the Performance Audit (click the link) for Hillsdale Local Schools, performed by the State Auditor's office.  Pay special attention to the School Board response, noted on pages 29-31. The Hillsdale Local Board of Education is making every effort to inform voters of the dire need to support our renewal levy in May 2015.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Steve Dickerson, Superintendent at 419-368-8231 or any of the Board Members (names and numbers posted online at the Board of Education page for this website).
