JEROMESVILLE, Ohio (2/13/24)--Join us on a culinary journey with our 9-12 Global Foods elective taught by Mrs. Jennifer Grissinger!
Since the beginning of the new semester in January, our students have been exploring the world of cooking through virtual travel.
From unraveling delicious culinary traditions across different USA regions to immersing themselves in hands-on cooking labs, our students are becoming culinary explorers.
They've already whipped up some mouthwatering chili & cornbread, and last week, they tackled an exciting 2-day lab featuring a medley of recipes including Jambalaya, Tennessee Chicken, Whoopie Pies, and Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza!
-
On day one, they prepped everything.
-
On day two, they brought it all to life on the stovetop or in the oven.
From kneading dough to perfecting sauces, our budding chefs poured their hearts into every dish.
As a result, they experienced an explosion of new tastes and kitchen skills! For many of the students, it was the first time they made homemade recipes from scratch!
After wrapping up the USA Region unit, they'll venture into the flavors of Central & South America, and the adventure will continue as they explore cuisines from around the globe throughout the semester.
