Remote Learning Implemented for Additional 2024-2025 School Cancellations

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio -- During the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year, Hillsdale Local Schools will utilize remote learning for any further school cancellations after exhausting the state's allowance of five calamity days during the week of January 20, 2025.

Students and staff should take devices and materials home nightly to be prepared.

Please refer to the complete set of expectations for remote learning days in the event of future cancellations.

Instructional expectations vary by grade level, and teachers will communicate assignments and resources through Google Classroom, Remind, and Dojo.

PK-4 students will use prepared Falcon Bags, while grades 5-12 will follow their regular schedule with possible live instruction.

The shift to remote learning aims to provide a seamless transition from in-person to virtual education on days when weather conditions force school closures.

As the district implements this approach, parents, students, and staff are encouraged to work together to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Embracing remote learning during weather-related cancellations ensures that educational continuity is maintained, aligning with the district's mission to empower students through diverse opportunities. This commitment reflects the district's dedication to the continuous pursuit of knowledge.

The focus remains on providing a quality education for Hillsdale Local Schools' students, whatever the weather.
