Local food pantries offering help as SNAP benefits resume

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — With the federal government shutdown affecting the distribution of food-assistance benefits, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) announced Nov. 10 that it is taking steps to distribute partial Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits this week, as early as today, and continuing daily until complete.

For families who may still be experiencing delays or effects of the shutdown, this list of local food pantries and organizations providing hot meals can help bridge the gap.
