Mrs. Hottel Named August Employee of the Month

JEROMESVILLE, Ohio — Patience, care and a willingness to jump in wherever needed have made Mrs. Megan Hottel, a PK-6 Intervention Specialist, a valued member of the Hillsdale Local Schools team. Mrs. Hottel, a Hillsdale Schools' alumnus, has been named the district's August Employee of the Month.

“She always goes above and beyond for her students and other staff members,” said Mr. Tom Williams, PK-6 principal.

That sentiment is echoed by the colleagues who work alongside Mrs. Hottel.

One colleague recently shared, “we are so lucky to have you! You are a hard worker, organized, an amazing resource for teachers and staff, and you care deeply about all of your students!

Another described her as “a pleasure to work with...! I have enjoyed collaborating and learning from her! I appreciate her so much!"

Those qualities make a difference in the everyday experience of students and the staff members who support them. Whether she is helping a student, collaborating with a colleague or simply stepping in when something needs to be done, Mrs. Hottel helps make Hillsdale a place where people feel supported.

Mrs. Hottel was surprised during the school day when Superintendent Cathy Trevathan and Principal Williams presented her with a bouquet and certificate in front of students.
