From the Superintendent

The Hillsdale Local School District is proud to welcome you to another exciting year as part of our Falcon family. As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we are reminded that every new year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and soar to even greater heights.

Our cornerstone of everything we do is "Falcons Taking Flight." Every day presents an opportunity to reach for new altitudes, and that journey begins in the classroom. Academic success is the foundation for every student's future, and we challenge each Falcon to come to school ready to learn, ask questions, think critically, and give their very best effort every day. Taking flight means embracing challenges, persevering through setbacks, and recognizing that growth comes through hard work and determination. Whether mastering a new math concept, developing stronger reading and writing skills, conducting scientific investigations, solving real-world problems, or preparing for college, careers, or military service, every lesson learned moves our students closer to achieving their goals. 

Now entering our fourth school year in our beautiful PK–12 campus, it is inspiring to reflect on how this building has become much more than a facility. It has become a place where relationships are built, dreams are pursued, and excellence is expected. Our students and staff continue to demonstrate what it means to live out our mission by embracing innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to success.

Our extracurricular programs remain an essential part of the Hillsdale experience. Athletics, fine arts, FFA, academic competitions, student leadership organizations, and countless other opportunities allow our students to discover their passions, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lifelong memories. These experiences complement the outstanding education taking place in our classrooms each day and help prepare students for success beyond graduation.

To our parents, guardians, alumni, and community members, thank you for your support. Your encouragement, volunteerism, and pride in our schools make a lasting difference in the lives of our students. Together, we have created a community where students are supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.

As we embark on another school year, I encourage every member of our Falcon family to embrace the opportunities ahead. Let us continue building character, expecting excellence, and supporting one another as we reach for new altitudes. Together, we will ensure that every Falcon continues Taking Flight today, tomorrow, and into the future.
