HB 123 / SAVE Students Act – Grades 6–12
Ohio House Bill 123 (SAVE Students Act) requires students in grades 6–12 to receive instruction in:

Suicide awareness & prevention

Violence prevention & safety

Social inclusion
These lessons strengthen protective factors, support early identification of concerning behaviors, and promote overall student well-being.
Opt-Out Information
Parents/guardians may opt their student out.
Please note:
- This opt-out applies only to the current school year.
- A new form must be submitted annually for each school year a student is to be opted out.
- If the form is not returned by the stated deadline each year, students will participate in the programming as required by state law.
