JEROMESVILLE (3/4/22)--Our FFA students had a full week celebrating National FFA Week February 22 to 25, 2022.
In appreciation of staff and local residents in the agricultural industry, they hosted a luncheon for both. They also sent notes to Hillsdale FFA alumni expressing how they have been inspired by them and thanking them for their support in all they do for the chapter.
They assembled staff appreciation boxes with different agricultural commodities and an explanation of the impact of each, such as Cuties mandarins, an apple, pistachios, chocolate, popcorn, raisins, a succulent.
They organized dress-up spirit days for all HHS students and staff. They also asked daily agricultural trivia questions and conducted an FFA emblem search all week.
In addition to individual prizes for answering a trivia question correctly and for finding one of the four emblems, those participants received a mark on a punch card. Students and staff received a punch on the card for each activity that they participated in. Then the completed punch cards were turned in at the end of the week for a grand prize drawing.
An FFA frame was available during lunches for photo opportunities with friends, and on "Give FFA Day," officers passed out donuts as students and staff arrived at school.
Finally, FFA members competed at a members-only Ag Olympics during lunch.
