Athletic Field House and Stadium Taking Shape

JEROMESVILLE (3/16/21)--Construction of the new campus remains on schedule. The different locations of the grounds are literally taking shape, including the laying of the foundation for the pre-K through 12 facility. Walls of the building will be erected beginning this spring, providing a glimpse of the final project.

The foundation and retaining walls for the field house for the athletic complex (pictured) are being installed. The first home game is expected to be played in the new stadium this fall. Work on the football stadium will begin this spring.

In addition, crews have installed underground utilities. Utility poles were removed around the property, and Firelands Electric and BCU switched service from overhead to the new underground line.

A lot of earth has been moved since fall in the preparation of the site, roughly 200,000 cubic yards of dirt along with 50,000 cubic yards of topsoil.
