Superintendent's Page

Mr. Steve Dickerson started as superintendent of Hillsdale Local Schools on August 1, 2013. Prior to his service at Hillsdale, he served 6 years as superintendent of Lucas Local Schools.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology Education from “The” Ohio State University in March 1984.  He received his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Ashland University in May 1999. 

In August 1986 he was hired at Lucas, working as a teacher and a coach for 12 years.  From 1998-2000, he taught and coached at New London Local Schools, and from 2000-2002 he taught and coached at Crestview Local Schools.

His administrative career began in 2002 when he rejoined the Lucas staff where he spent the next 11 years as assistant principal, athletic director, and high school/middle school principal, eventually fulfilling the role of superintendent.

Steve and his wife Sherri have lived in the Mansfield/Ashland area for his entire professional career.  They have two sons and daughters-in-law as well as 4 grandchildren.
