Teachers Learning Technology through Game Format

At its recent in-service day, Hillsdale district employees were introduced to LEGO, a training program for the professional development of the staff to become more "tech savvy."

The computer-based program challenges participants to complete a task within Google Suite products, such as, taking a screen shot. As they progress through the different tasks, they "level up" to more complicated tasks, including moving outside of Google products, such as, digital citizenship.

Eighth grade English/language arts teacher Ms. Rebbeca Sankoe is the first to be awarded a prize for her hours logged in completing tasks. She may choose to wear jeans to school for a day, a privilege usually not permitted.
