Superintendent's Message March 31, 2020

March 31, 2020

Hello, Falcon Families,

I hope this message finds everyone doing well and staying safe.  If you did not hear yesterday, Governor DeWine extended his order to educate remotely through May 1. Because all of these school days do count towards our required number, we will be honoring our originally scheduled spring break April 6 - April 13.

Individual building staff will continue to operate in the means already established to provide education to your child.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child(ren)’s teacher(s) or principal(s) if you are experiencing any difficulties with receiving or turning in assignments.

Please note that our goal continues to be that our seniors will be considered graduates on May 24, with May 28 being the last day for all other students.

This Friday our Food Service and Transportation departments will be providing and delivering meals for the week of spring break to families who have signed up.

We anticipate Governor DeWine will not make any further decisions on Ohio’s schools’ status until the week of April 27. Continue to monitor the website for additional information.   http://www.hillsdale.k12.oh.us/district/hillsdale-schools-closure-updates

Thank you for your continued support and patience as we all work together to make the best of these unprecedented times.

Stay safe and Falcon Strong!

Sincerely,

Steve Dickerson
