JEROMESVILLE (1/28/21)--The Rover pipeline revenue that the district receives is still secure. President Biden's executive order only blocks the continued construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
The Keystone XL pipeline is an entirely different pipeline from the Rover pipeline. Not only are the pipelines operated/owned by different companies, but the laying of the Rover pipeline has been completed and carries natural gas. In contrast, the Keystone XL pipeline would have carried crude oil.
Furthermore, the Keystone XL pipeline was projected to stretch from Alberta, Canada, across the border to Nebraska, whereas the Rover pipeline runs through Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
