JEROMESVILLE (9/17/20)--Hillsdale Local Schools is adhering to the following protocols for households who have a COVID-positive result or individuals who have been exposed to another individual diagnosed with COVID-19.

This applies to our students and staff, excluding them from all school-related activities, including but not limited to:

  • daily classes/work in the buildings or transportation
    • during a quarantine situation, a student is not considered absent and is responsible for all work assigned to them
  • athletics
  • band
  • choir
  • FFA competitions

A close contact is defined as: someone who was within six feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes starting from two days before the start of illness (or, for patients with no symptoms, two days prior to test date) until the time the patient is isolated. At this time, whether or not an individual had on a fabric face covering or not, does not exclude them from being a close contact.
