An Update from the Superintendent 7/31/20

JEROMESVILLE (7/31/20)--Falcon Families,

Next Friday, August 7, we are planning to announce which plan we will use to return to school on September 8. Our goal has always been to develop a plan to have all students in our buildings every day. We are still working through hurdles in accomplishing this.

I thank each of you for your patience in waiting for this information! I recognize the difficulty this uncertainty causes in your planning.

Working with the Ashland County Health Department and the Governor's recommendations, my staff has been working tirelessly exploring options that are both safe and feasible, while keeping in mind our ultimate goal of providing educational opportunities that prepare students to be successful.

I ask for your understanding that this remains a situation that continues to change daily. Please recognize that any plan we put in place may change with an order from Governor DeWine, a change in circumstances in Ashland County or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our schools.

Again, I want to express my thanks for your patience and understanding as we live through this historic time. Together we will get through this.

Sincerely,

Mr. Steve Dickerson
Superintendent
Hillsdale Local Schools
